Mikhalai School of Destiny or MSOD, in short, is a self-funded school in collaboration with the Global Street Mission Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) that takes in children who are abandoned, from broken families, extremely poor and to raise them up and give them proper means of education. They hope that the children under their care will be able to grow up, support themselves and eventually break the chains of poverty in their family.

MSOD is located in the vicinity of Chow Kit, Kuala Lumpur where many of these unfortunate children are. The school is currently operating on the 2nd floor within the Revival City Street Church. A handful of these children do not even possess identification documents which then brands these children as foreigners. This results in the children not being able to enrol in schools and treated as foreigners at hospitals.
In 2015, the principal of MSOD, Ms Mikhalai Steve founded the school which saw 4 students in the beginning and as of 2020, the numbers have grown to almost 40 children. The age range of students in MSOD ranges from 7 years old to 18 years old. Besides providing education, MSOD also provides meals, accommodation, studying materials and medical needs for the boys and girls.

MSOD has been operating for over 5 years and it is because of the sponsors and donors that have generously offered their helping hands towards them. However, due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the livelihood of many entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises has been severely disrupted. As such, the school may receive lesser funds to accommodate the needs of the children.
Despite this, the school aims to continue its efforts to eradicate poverty through education. MSOD hopes that this would enable each child under their care to grow and assimilate seamlessly back into society once they are not only capable of supporting themselves but also be able to provide for their families.
